MERIDEN, CT - David Zwick, a Meriden building official, was arrested Wednesday afternoon during an altercation at JB’s Pawn Shop on West Main Street, and he has been placed on paid administrative leave as a result.
The Record-Journal reports that the incident involved a stop work order issued for the pawn shop, which was in the midst of renovation work that officials said exceeded the permit.
How long the paid leave might last was not immediately known.
