Meriden Class In Quarantine After Student Tests Positive

A student at a Meriden middle school tested positive for the virus.

MERIDEN, CT — A Lincoln Middle School class is under a 14-day quarantine following a positive test result for a student, FOX 61 reported. The student was reportedly taken to an isolation area as soon as the school was notified.

The student was sent to school despite having a pending COVID-19 test. School officials said that if your child is sick, or awaiting a test result, they should stay home, according to FOX 61.

The Meriden Health Department is reaching out to those who may have had close contact with the student.
