Meriden Could Lose Millions in State Bonding Projects
The state's budget cuts out a host of initiatives around Connecticut.

MERIDEN, CT - Approximately, $6.5 million in projects slated for Meriden could be cut from the state's reduced bonding package.
As legislators scramble to patch huge deficit holes in the state's budget, officials are looking at trimming at least $1 billion from the proposed bonding package, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
Projects throughout the state that had not been started were among those that were cut from the proposal. They included improvements to Meriden's flood mitigation efforts, renovations to MidState Medical Center and state forensics lab, both also in Meriden.
