Meriden Couple Charged after 11-Month-Old Child in Running Car, Father Asleep: Report

The car was parked in the wrong direction on Lincoln Terrace just after midnight on Tuesday.

MERIDEN, CT — Meriden police found an 11-month-old child in a running car parked in the wrong direction early Tuesday, with the father asleep and the mother nowhere to be found.

The mother eventually returned to the car on Lincoln Terrace, but not before police also found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

Both parents - Dominic Khongdy, 20, and Sarina Hunt, 24 - were charged with risk of injury to a minor. Hunt, who had been driving, was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and improper parking. The child was picked up by a relative.
