Meriden Daffodil Festival 2023: Road Closures, Details Announced
Police are advising residents of several road closures and restrictions that will be in effect during the 2023 Daffodil Festival in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are advising residents of several road closures and restrictions that will be in effect during the 2023 Daffodil Festival this weekend in Meriden.
The festival will be held from Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, April 30 at Hubbard Park in Meriden. The festival will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

- Parking in the area is limited and many roads have been posted no parking, please utilize the mass transportation that is provided from the Meriden Mall, Platt High School and Lincoln Middle School. Handicap parking and pickup also at the Meriden Mall at the Chamberlain Highway entrance.
- No parking areas will be strictly enforced. Please respect the area neighborhoods and Emergency Services accessibility into those areas. All vehicles that are parking illegally will be ticketed and towed.
- Expect heavy delays in the area of West Main Street in and around the Hubbard Park area.
- Smithfield Road will be a One Way South toward Johnson Avenue.
- Spruce Street will be a One Way North toward West Main Street.
- Prohibited in the Park: No animals, pets of any kind, except service animals.
- No bicycles, skateboards or roller blades will be allowed in the park.
- No outside vendors are allowed in the park.
- Heavy pedestrian traffic. Designated crossings will be posted.
- Public Safety Command post will be located at the bus drop off area in park.
- All lost and found or any other public safety concerns should be directed to the Command Post.
