Meriden Doctor Says Virginia Governor Isn't Racist
A Meriden doctor who attended medical school with Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam said that he considers Northam a caring man.

MERIDEN, CT - A Meriden doctor who worked on the 1984 Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook said he does not consider Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam a racist, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
A photo circulating in the media is from Northam's 1984 medical school yearbook, features two men — one dressed in blackface and the other in a Ku Klux Klan robe.
Meriden Dr. Giac Chan Nguyen-Tan said the photo shown in the media shocked him, but that he considers Northam a caring man, according to the Record-Journal. He said he didn't see students wearing blackface while he was at Eastern Virginia Medical School, but if he did, he would've assumed it was for a Halloween party and not given it much thought.
