Meriden Father and Son Charged With Attempted Copper Pipe Theft

Police had been on the lookout for a suspicious vehicle when they saw the son come out of a building, according to police.

A Meriden father and son have been charged with attempting to steal copper piping from a Britannia Street warehouse.

Carlton Cooper, 41 and Jermaine Cooper, 23, were arrested Monday night, according to the Record-Journal. Police were on the lookout for a suspicous vehicle when they saw Jermaine Cooper exit the building.

Officers went inside and found his father, allegedly with tools used to cut piping.
