Meriden Gets More Than a Foot of Snow

Forecast for tonight and tomorrow too.

The storm didn’t live up to the epic proportions forecasters predicted, but Meriden still got more than a foot of snow.

Meriden got 12.5 inches of snow as of 1 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.

  • Late Afternoon Periods of snow with widespread blowing snow. High near 25. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. North wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
  • Tonight Periods of snow with widespread blowing snow before 1am, then widespread blowing snow and a slight chance of light snow between 1am and 4am, then widespread blowing snow after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Wind chill values between zero and 5. North wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Wednesday Areas of blowing snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 25. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. North wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
