Meriden High Schools Eliminating Midterms
Teachers and administrators wanted more instructional time instead of test prep time.

Both Meriden high schools will do away with midterm exams come next academic year.
The Board of Education voted on the matter Tuesday, according to the Record-Journal. Teachers and administrators wanted more instructional time instead of test prep time.
It was also announced at the meeting that Miguel Cardona will take over as associate superintendent for teaching and learning on July 1. He is currently the performance evaluation specialist for Meriden schools.
