Meriden Juvenile To Be Charged As Adult In Shooting
A Meriden juvenile accused of a February shooting will be tried as an adult.
MERIDEN, CT - A juvenile charged with a February shooting of another teen will be charged as an adult, according to The Meriden Record-Journal. Pedro Montalvo, 16, will be charged in the case.
An 18-year-old victim was seriously injured in the incident and airlifted after he was shot multiple times on Feb. 22 at 926 N. Colony Road.
According to the state's judicial website, Montalvo is facing charges of first-degree assault, stealing a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, and violation of pistol permit requirements, though it was immediately clear if these charges are linked to the February shooting.
