MERIDEN, CT — A bookstore run by a non-profit affiliated with the Meriden Public Library will not be operating during the library's $13 million renovation and expansion, according to The Meriden Record-Journal. The Friends of the Meriden Public Library used bookstore closed last Friday, and volunteers are moving the store's inventory into storage.

The renovations are expected to take 15 months to complete. Initially, the library planned to keep the bookstore open during the project but was recently told the bookstore must be closed.
