Meriden Library Will Be Open To Residents Starting Oct. 7
Hours will be limited and COVID-19 restrictions will be in place.

The City of Meriden announced today, October 1, 2020, that the Meriden Public Library will be opening to residents only beginning Wednesday, October 7th, and will be only open during the day that week. The Meriden Public Library will still be offering curbside pickup and curbside printing services, but are adding 45-minute computer sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, only. Computer sessions will require reservations which will begin at 10 a.m. and will end at 5 p.m. with five appointments per designated hour to allow for proper sanitization between sessions. Computer sessions will have an allotted 45-minutes with no exceptions or extensions.
“The Meriden Public Library staff and myself are eager to welcome back our members,” said Clevell S. Roseboro II, Meriden Public Library Director. “We want our community to know that we will be following strict guidelines to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19. Initially, there will be limited service access, but we hope to re-open additional services as safely and as quickly as possible.”

The Meriden Public Library looks to lessen the risk of COVID-19 exposure by requiring patrons to abide by the following guidelines most recently recommended by the CDC, state governor, and the local health department:
- Temperature screenings upon arrival.
- A series of health screening questions will be asked.
- Masks will be required at all times.
