Meriden Man Arrested On Drug, Gun Charges
A city man was arrested on multiple charges after he attempted to flee from police.
MERIDEN, CT — A city man was arrested on drug and weapon charges recently, according to The Meriden Record-Journal. Rakim Cardona, 25, of 58 Woodley Court Unit 14, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, risk of injury to a minor, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and failure to have tail lamps.
His bond was set on $250,000.
Police spotted Cardona's car Tuesday morning, and he attempted to flee before police apprehended him. Police found 1.4 grams of crack cocaine and a Ruger handgun in the vehicle, according to The Record-Journal.
