Meriden Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of A Child

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child in 2012, according to The Meriden Record-Journal. Christian Diaz, 26, of 59 Twiss St., 1st floor, was charged recently on two counts each of first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

A minor reported to police in 2018 that Diaz had assaulted her on numerous occasions in 2012. Diaz has denied the allegations.

Diaz's bond was set to $75,000 and his case has been transferred to New Haven Superior Court, where he will appear Nov. 19, The Record-Journal reported.
