Meriden Man Identified as Victim in Suspicious New Britain Death

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in New Britain who has been identified as Jesus Silva, 24, of Meriden, the Hartford Courant reports.

Police responded to the area of Farmington Avenue and Yeaton Street on Tuesday just before 8 p.m. and found the man dead in a running car.

The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Silva died of a gunshot wound and the death has been ruled a homicide, the Courant reports. Police did not receive any calls for gunshots in the area at the time.
