Meriden Man Sentenced On Criminal Gun Charge: State Officials
The man, who was prohibited from possessing a firearm, was accused of firing a gun several times at a party, according to officials.
MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of a gun charge, according to officials.
Brandon Ramos, 25, was sentenced May 31 by Superior Court Judge Peter L. Brown for criminal possession of a firearm, New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney John P. Doyle Jr. announced in a news release.
The sentence came after a trial in which Ramos waived his right to a jury trial and asked Brown to determine whether he was guilty or not guilty of the crime charged, according to Doyle.
