Meriden Native to Compete in World Shooting Championship
The Ohio State junior made the U.S. National Junior Team in June.

Ohio State Buckeye and Meriden native Remington Lyman will compete in the International Shooting Sports Federation’s World Shooting Championship in Granada, Spain.
The tournament will take place Sept. 6 to Sept. 20.
Lyman was crowned 2014 Junior Prone National Shooter at the 2014 USA National Shooting Championships in June. He also placed seventh in junior men’s three-position and 11th in junior men’s air rifle.

His win earned him a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team and will compete as part of the Rifle Junior National Team.
“Earning a spot on the U.S. Junior National Team is a great accomplishment and will open doors for him to train and compete with many of the best shooters from around the country and the world,” Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Tanoue said in a statement.
