Meriden Nursing Home Fined After Resident Beaten: Report
The nursing home was fined by the state Department of Public Health after a resident was seriously beaten by another resident.

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden nursing home was recently fined by the state Department of Public Health in connection to an incident last summer in which a resident was beaten by another resident, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports The Curtis Home St. Elizabeth Center in Meriden was fined $3,000 for staff failing to properly help the resident, who was found in “a pool of blood all over” after being struck repeatedly on the head with a wheelchair foot pedal by another resident.
The resident suffered nose fractures and numerous head lacerations as a result of the attack, according to the I-Team.
