A Meriden nursing home was fined more than $1,000 after a resident fell from a bed and hit his or her face on the floor.
A state Department of Public Health investigation found that a nursing assistant at Meriden Center put the patient back in the bed after the incident and didn’t report it to a supervisor, according to the Connecticut Health Investigation Team, a non-profit dedicated to issues of health and safety in the state.
The company didn’t respond to the C-HIT for comment.
