Meriden One of Few To Get More State Aid In Malloy's New Plan
Meriden is one of the few municipalities that would get more money under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's new plan.

MERIDEN, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
Meriden is actually one of the lucky few municipalities that would get more money under Malloy's new plan. It was slated to receive $66.4 million; now it will get $66.7 million - or $310,587 more.
