MERIDEN, CT — Meriden's open houses this weekend include a beautifully restored 1910 home in central Meriden with porches front and back, a brick ranch with a sunken living room, and a cul-de-sac Colonial with more than 4,000 finished square feet. There's also a mixed-use building with a storefront and three apartments.
Six Meriden homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, with prices from $299,900 to $639,000, according to Zillow.com.

517 Swain Ave., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $429,900. This 1965 brick ranch has a remodeled eat-in kitchen with sliders to a deck and a sunken living room with a bow window and a gas-log fireplace. The large finished lower level has a fireplace and walks out. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath home with 2,682 square feet and an attached two-car garage.
44 Sophia Court, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $639,000. On a quiet cul-de-sac, this 2006 house has a two-story entry, a granite eat-in kitchen and a great room with cathedral ceilings, a Palladian window and a fireplace. A main-level primary suite has a whirlpool tub. The finished walkout lower level, with its own entry, adds a rec room, two more rooms and a full bath. It's a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home with 4,064 square feet. Its price was cut by $10,000 on Oct. 7.

Upstairs is the primary bedroom plus space for a fourth bedroom or office, and the siding is new. It's a three-bedroom, one-bath home with 1,648 square feet on a level 0.34-acre lot.

130 Lydale Place, noon to 2 p.m., $399,900. This 1964 raised ranch has a front porch, refinished hardwood floors and a primary suite with a double-sized walk-in shower. The living room has a fireplace flanked by built-ins, and a patio leads to a vegetable garden. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath home with 1,734 square feet.
178 Elm St., noon to 2 p.m., $399,900. This restored 1910 home in central Meriden keeps its original details alongside two renovated baths. It has a covered front porch, a two-section rear porch, a landscaped backyard and an oversized detached two-car garage, plus a walk-up attic. The listing says the fireplaces should be professionally evaluated before use. It's a four-bedroom, two-bath home with 2,092 square feet.
