Meriden Police Detective, Officer Praised for Actions
Det. Michael Fonda and Officer John Paul Dorias recently helped get a potentially dangerous suspect off the streets.

MERIDEN, CT — Det. Michael Fonda and Officer John Paul Dorias recently were named Meriden Police Officers of the Month for their actions in apprehending a convicted felon with a firearm.
The two caught Trayquan Ford earlier this month, after spotting him while they were out on patrol. Ford was known to Fonda and Dorias for his past criminal behavior. They discovered Ford was carrying a firearm, which is prohibited for convicted felons.
Meriden police posted about the honor for Fonda and Dorias on the department's Facebook page, the post of which is below.
