(Original post) MERIDEN, CT — The Meriden Police Department is advising residents that it is experiencing issues with its routine phone lines, affecting both incoming and outgoing calls.

“If you are unable to reach the dispatch center using the regular phone numbers, please use the following alternative in the interim: Call or text 911 to report non-emergency incidents to Meriden Dispatch,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue and will provide updates as soon as service is restored.”
