Meriden to Seek Parking Ticket Collection Agency

The city hasn't sent delinquent tickets out for collection since 2001.

If you have an unpaid parking ticket in Meriden, your free ride might soon be over.

The City of Meriden wants you to pay your delinquent parking tickets and is looking to hire an outside firm to collect the money, according to an article at myrecordjournal.com.

City Manager Lawrence J. Kendzior said the city put out a request for bids Aug. 26 which states there are about 800 unpaid parking tickets eligible for collection, with up to 75 expected to be added each month.
