Meriden Shooting Suspect Nabbed In The Bronx

A man wanted for a shooting last month was found by police.

MERIDEN, CT - The New York Police Department's Fugitive Task Force has arrested a man wanted in connection with a Meriden shooting last month, WTNH reported. Justin Diaz, 29, was charged with first-degree assault, carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and criminal use of a firearm.

Meriden Police issued a statement recently saying that Diaz should be considered armed and dangerous.

Diaz is alleged to have been involved in a shooting at South First Street April 19. The incident nearly took the life of another man, police said.

Diaz will remain in New York until his extradition, according to The Hartford Courant.
