Meriden Stop & Shop Store Announces Closing Date
The Centennial Plaza store will close next month.
MERIDEN, CT — The Centennial Plaza Stop & Shop has announced that it will close permanently at 6 p.m. Nov. 12, The Record-Journal reported. Stop & Shop said in May that the store would close due to poor sales and a lack of traffic.
The Stop & Shop at 485 Broad St. will remain open.
City officials are hoping the another supermarket moves in to the plaza after renovations are made, according to The Record-Journal.
