Meriden Super Dad: Alonzo Watts
Patch sends happy Father's Day wishes to all of the great dads out there and spotlights a few special ones our readers sent in.
We asked our Patch readers to send in their stories of Super Dads and here is one we received from a Meriden reader.
“My dad’s name is Alonzo Watts. He is from Meriden. My name is Courtney Bertrand, I also live in Meriden. Alonzo is our step-dad and to many that has a lot of different meanings. But to me and my brother Zachary Bertrand, it just simply means he is a special person in my life and is always there for us.
We think our dad is super because he makes us laugh each day even when we are having not so good days. He is a super dad because he is a Social Worker and helps other people every day with there problems. He puts a smile on our mom’s face and calls her “babe” each time. That makes her feel special.
We nominate our dad, Alonzo as super dad not just on Father’s Day but every day!”
