Meriden Teen Charged In Multiple Car Thefts
A city teen has been charged with stealing cars from a local dealership.
MERIDEN, CT - A city teen will be charged as an adult after he stole at least three vehicles from a Cadillac dealership, according to The Meriden Record-Journal. Eduardo Mercado, 17, of 62 Wood St., was charged with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny.
Mercado and two others are alleged to have broken windows to gain access to the Broad Street dealership, then swiped several sets of keys to the vehicles. Police were tipped off to the car theft after Mercado got into an accident in Southington.
