Meriden Teen Charged With Stealing $30K In Merchandise: Report

A Meriden teen is facing a charge that he stole $30,000 from a Macy's where he was working last year.

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden teen is facing a charge that he stole more than $30,000 worth of merchandise from a Macy's in Cheshire while employed there last year, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. Ian Chapman, 19, was charged with first-degree larceny.

Chapman is accused of stealing coats and perfume from the 475 Knotter Drive store. His bond was set at $10,000, and he will appear in court March 3.
