Meriden Wins $3 Million Grant for Traffic Signals
The grant is part of a $20 million chunk of grants from the federal government.

Meriden won a $2.99 million grant that will go toward upgrading 12 traffic signals in the Transit oriented Development District in the city center.
The grant is part of $20 million in federal dollars for transportation projects.

“ Growing and modernizing our transportation system in a way that’s beneficial to air quality is absolutely critical,” said Governor Dannel Malloy. “We must keep working to provide a best-in-class transportation system - the future of our state hinges on it.”
