Meriden Woman's Embezzlement Case Resolved

The case of a Meriden woman accused of stealing $255,800 from her employer has reached a conclusion.

MERIDEN, CT - A city woman accused of stealing $255,800 from her employer was granted accelerated rehabilitation in court Wednesday, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. Sharon Cordero, 48, faced two counts each of first- and second-degree larceny.

Cordero will also have to make restitution payments. Cordero was a bookeeper for a North Haven business and reportedly deposited funds intended for that business into her personal account.
