Meriden: Your 2014 Midterm Election Results

The results for local races.

In the 82nd State House District, the winner is the Democratic candidate Emil “Buddy” Altobello, with 3,999 votes to Republican Josh Broekstra’s 3,083, the Connecticut Post reports. In Meriden, Altobello received 3,283 votes while Broekstra received 2,246 votes.

For the 83rd State House District, the winner is Democrat Catherine Abercrombie, with 4,145 votes to Republican Pablo Soto’s 3,243 votes. In Meriden, Abercrombie received 2,963 votes while Soto received 2,073 votes, according to the Connecticut Post.

For the 84th State House District, the winner is incumbent Democrat Hilda Santiago over Green Party candidate Matthew West, the Connecticut Mirror reports.

For the 13th Senatorial District, Democrat Dante Bartolomeo wins with 14,972 votes to Republican Len Suzio’s 14,631 votes, Andrew Ragali reports for the Record-Journal. Suzio is not conceding the race and will be double checking voter numbers. In Meriden, Bartolomeo was up 11,898 to Suzio’s 11,086.

Democrat Elizabeth Esty is the winner for Connecticut’s fifth congressional district, the Hartford Courant reports.

In the race for the judge of the probate, the winner is uncontested Democrat Brian Mahon, the Connecticut Mirror reports.

In Meriden, Tom Foley and Heather Somers received 6,260 votes while Dannel Malloy and Nancy Wyman received 8,023 votes, the Connecticut Post reports.
