More Solar Panels Proposed for Meriden
The panels would allow the city to purchase electricity at a reduced rate.

Two new solar systems are being proposed for construction on the East side of Evansville Avenue and on the west side of the road at Meriden-Markham Airport, the Record-Journal reports.
SolarCity Corp., based in San Mateo, Calif., approached the city with the idea and would be responsible for managing the solar panel systems.
The city has already approved 4,200 solar panels to be constructed on the landfill by the Meriden-Wallingford town line, according to the publication.
