Update: Police Identify Fatal Meriden Motorcycle Accident Victim

Update: Police have identified the victim as William Cardona, 43.

A motorcyclist is dead after a fatal crash in Meriden on Monday.

Police got a 911 call around 1:20 a.m. to report a motorcycle in the middle of the roadway of River Road.

Police found a Harley Davidson motorcycle and the operator with serious injuries. It appears that the operator crossed the double yellow and was traveling on the left side of the roadway, police said.

The male operator wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered a serious head injury.

He was transported to MidState Medical Center where he died.

The male’s identification has not been released pending notification of family members.
