MERIDEN, CT — The White Castle USA Luge Slider Search will be making one of its nine nationwide stops this year in Meriden this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, at Hubbard Park in Meriden.

“This national search, which uses cool sleds on wheels to identify potential future USA Luge national team members ((and Olympians)), will welcome kids ages 10-13 to Meriden’s Hubbard Park for this weekend’s FUN clinic!” officials wrote in a post on the city’s website.

“Six members of the 2026 Olympic Luge team were discovered through the USA Luge Slider Search program, which was established in 1985, and has produced 29 Olympians, including two Olympic medalists, along with countless World Championship and World Cup medalists!” according to officials.
