Obituary: Cynthia Heinz Kicklighter, 57, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Cynthia Heinz Kicklighter, 57, of Meriden, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2022, after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer.

She was born in Meriden, July 31, 1964, the daughter of Betty and Paul Heinz of Wallingford.

She grew up in Wallingford and attended Lyman Hall High School. She was an outstanding all-around athlete in high school, and was recognized for her athletic abilities by being inducted into the Lyman Hall “Hall of Fame” in 2004.

After high school she attended a technical college and upon graduation she worked as a computer programmer at Nasdaq.

Cindy, being independent and ambitious, decided she wanted to have her own business rather than working for someone else. Over the next 25 years she built a successful career and business in Primerica, reaching the level of Senior Vice President (SVP).

Cindy was a people person and a motivational speaker. Her greatest joy was inspiring other people to realize and utilize their own special talents. She had a special gift of making other people feel her genuine interest, concern and love for them.

Her family was the center of her life. Cindy was the catalyst for all the special family events and holiday celebrations that took place at her home. She will be greatly missed by her family, her many personal friends, her Primerica business friends, and especially by her four beautiful children and her dog Sophie.

Cindy is survived by her four children, Makenzie, Morgan, Lance and Logan; her brother, Christopher Heinz of Florida; her parents, Betty and Paul Heinz of Wallingford; and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Heinz.

Cindy’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Gifts in her memory can be made to Vox Church Middletown, 653 S Main St, Middletown, CT 06457.
