Obituary: Elizabeth G. Mozdziak, 84, of Meriden

Elizabeth worked in the shipping department at The Napier Company for many years and was a proud member of the Columbian Club.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Stempien Funeral Home) Elizabeth G. Mozdziak, 84, beloved wife of the late Henry J. Mozdziak, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 14, 2021 at her home.

Born on November 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Pauline (Wasukevich) Grinewsky. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Elizabeth was a graduate of Meriden High School and parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church.

She worked in the shipping department at The Napier Company from where she retired. Elizabeth was a proud member of the Columbian Club.

She enjoyed sports as she played soccer in school and was an avid bowler most of her life.

A loving mother and grandmother she will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Mozdziak is survived by her children: John S. Mozdziak of Meriden, Cynthia Albiach and her husband Manuel of Southington, Paula Smyth and her husband Edward of Waccabuc, NY and five cherished grandchildren.

She was predeceased by four sisters: Nellie Adamczyk, Olga Porto, Helen Gelt, Anne Grinewsky and her brother John Grinewsky.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday March 18th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and attend her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required.
