Obituary: Glendaly Hernandez-Vera, 49, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Glendaly Hernandez-Vera, 49, of Meriden, loving wife of Carlos Nieves, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, surrounded by loved ones.

Glendaly was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, March 13, 1974, the daughter of Nereida Vera Nieves of Meriden and the late Nicasio Hernandez Arocho.

Glendaly was the owner of G&S Cafe for many years and an active member of Iglesia Pentecostal Cara A Cara Con Dios in Meriden.

In addition to her husband Carlos, she is survived by her 2 loving daughters Stephanie Nieves-Hernandez and Genesis Nieves-Hernandez both of Meriden; 2 cherished grandsons Jeziel Gonzalez and Jael Gonzalez; her brother Wilfredo Hernandez and his wife Arelis Soto of Meriden; many loving cousins; and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Jose Edwin Hernandez.
