Obituary: Leo G. Manville, 85, of Meriden
Leo worked in the Aerospace and Testing Industries. He was a member of the Hartford Leiderkranz German American and Turner Hall German Club.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Leo G. Manville, 85, of Meriden, beloved husband for 64 years of the late Hildegard (Hemm) Manville, passed away December 29, 2020 at Connecticut Hospice.
He was born in Montville on October 28, 1935, a son of the late Leo and Anna (Boska) Manville.
He was a Vietnam Veteran and served honorably in the United States Air Force for 21 Years, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant.

After his Air Force career, he spent many years working in the Aerospace and Testing Industries. He was a former President of the Hartford Leiderkranz German American Club, and a proud member of the Turner Hall German Club.
He loved music and singing, and playing his accordion, and often traveled to many festivals and competitions. In his later years he enjoyed the company of his family and his many friends.

Leo is survived by his son, Manfred Manville of Livingston TX; his daughters, Martina Nelson and her husband, Steve, of Wolcott and Michelle Swetnam and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, SC; and his grandchildren, Lee, James, and Nicole Nelson and Alexander Swetnam, his brother Edmund Manville of Montville; and his many nieces and nephews.
He was Pre-Deceased by his Brothers Wilfred and Louis.
A celebration of his life will be held in safer times. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.
