Obituary: Manuel R. Miranda, 86, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Manuel R. Miranda, 86, beloved husband of the late Nora A. Miranda, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 11, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Manuel was born in Chone, Ecuador, August 27, 1937, a son of the late Nicolas Miranda and Margarita (Barreiro) Miranda and had been a Meriden resident for many years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and had been employed as an electrician at Meriden Rolling Mills until his retirement.

Manuel is survived by three children and spouses Marcello and Ashley Miranda of Meriden, Maricruz and Joseph Ableski of Bristol, Mario and Heather Miranda of Simsbury; 5 grandchildren that he loved dearly Kaitlynn and Aubrey Cyr, Alyssa, Kyle, and Mason Miranda; his brothers George and Abel Miranda of North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Maribel Miranda.
