Obituary: Nelly Piedad Cumbicos Romero, 47, Of Meriden
A beloved mother and wife, she was born and raised in Ecuador.
MERIDEN, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Nelly Piedad Cumbicos Romero, 47, of Meriden, passed away February 20, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the loving wife of Ramon Muniz and the beloved mother of Jim Kenny Chuquirima Cumbicos.
Nelly was born and raised in Ecuador on November 12, 1975, a daughter of Maria Angelica Romero Barrera and Angel Jose Cumbicos Solano.
In addition to her husband, son, and father, Nelly is survived by her siblings (Santos Cumbicos,Rosa Cumbicos,Klever Cumbicos,Fernando Cumbicos,Estela Cumbicos and Flor Cumbicos)

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Friday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with an intermission of Nelly’s pastor Rufino. This gospel will take place from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 17 at 11:30 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony St., Wallingford. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
