Obituary: Noel C. Rioux, 82, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Funeral Home): Noel C. Rioux, 82, of Meriden, loving husband of Ethel (Faustman) Rioux, passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 9, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Noel was born in Meriden, December 24, 1940, a son of the late Theophile Rioux and Roseanna (Gilbert) Rioux and had been a lifelong Meriden resident. He was employed by the former Meriden Rolling Mills/Insilco and later for the Connecticut State Police. Noel enjoyed fishing, camping and square dancing.

In addition to his wife Ethel, he is survived by his children Annette Murana and her husband Santo, Clifford M. Rioux and his companion Cheryl; cherished grandchildren Clifford M. Rioux Jr. and his wife Erin, Eric Murana and his wife Megan and Brittany Murana; his great grandchildren Emma and Carter Rioux, Jackson and Amelia Murana; his daughter-in-law Bernadette Rioux; special caregiver Rebecca Adu-poku; his sisters Diane Tullar and Claire Cosker; many nieces; and nephews. He was predeceased by 9 brothers; and sisters.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meriden Memorial (Smith-Ruzzo) Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, CT. 06450.
