Obituary: Richard Carl Braccidiferro, 62, Of Meriden

He was always the first to help a friend in need, and was an incredibly kindhearted, creative, and inventive soul. He will be deeply missed.

MERIDEN, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Richard Carl Braccidiferro, 62, of Meriden, departed this life on December 29, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan (Purtell) Braccidiferro. Richard was born in New Haven, CT on April 18, 1960 to the late Robert and Marie (Busher) Braccidiferro.

Richard had a passion for building and fixing things, finding mistakes in movies, spending time with his loved ones, his beloved Camaro and Knucklehead, feeding his dog Bella, making people laugh, working hard and being the life of the party.

He was always the first to help a friend in need, whether it be a couch to sleep on or a shoulder to lean on, and was an incredibly kindhearted, creative, and inventive soul. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Richard Carl will continue to live on in our memories and hearts, eternally.

Richard is survived by: daughter Kristine Braccidiferro and her husband Jack Piquol; son Richard and wife Tonya Braccidiferro and their children, Richard and Zachary ; daughter Jessica and husband Richard Slayton, and their children Adele, Emma, Christian and Austin; daughter Rebecca Braccidiferro, and her son Dax; brother-in-law Jeffrey and wife Ariana Purtell; brother-in-law Steven and wife Karen Purtell, and their children Abigail and Connor, as well as his loving siblings, Theresa, Robert, Mark and Anthony Braccidiferro.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford. Interment will be private.
