Obituary: Richard J. Fahey, 66, Of Meriden

Rick, a lifelong plumber in Meriden, spent many hours working with both the Meriden Youth Wrestling Club and the Silver City Boxing Club.

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Richard James Fahey (The Owl), 66, husband of Dawn Fahey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Born March 2, 1957 in Meriden, he was the son of the late Norbert T. and Nancy (Kamenoff) Fahey.

He graduated from Maloney High School in 1975 and was a lifelong plumber in Meriden. Throughout his life, Rick was a big supporter and fan of local wrestling and boxing. Over the years, he was involved with and spent many hours working with both the Meriden Youth Wrestling Club and the Silver City Boxing Club.

In addition to his wife, Rick is survived by his son, Jonathon (Stacey), his siblings Tom (Cathy), Ken (Dawna), Diane, and Dave (Lisa) and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his step-children Desiree and James, his cherished step-grandchildren Dakota and Jacqueline, brother-in-law Gary Rogers, sister-in-law Debbie Shepard, in-laws June and William Rogers, and a grand-pup, Chip.

Services will be private and there will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick's memory can be made to Beat The Street Community Center Meriden (121 So. Colony St., Meriden, 06450). Arrangements are under the direction of the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St.
