Obituary: Richard Jardine, 68, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD - Richard "Rick the Barber" Jardine, 68, departed this life on October 27, 2016 at the Masonic Healthcare Center after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Suzette Jardine. Richard was born on January 5, 1948 to the late James and Marjorie (Seldon) Jardine

Rick owned and operated Rick's Barbershop in Meriden for many years before he retired in September of 2016. He looked forward to greeting his friends and customers with his signature hearty laugh. He enjoyed seeing his longtime customers bring in their children and grandchildren through the years.

In addition to his wife, Rick will be cherished in the memories of his daughter, Yvette Rivera and her husband Richard and his granddaughters Ashley Tate Rivera and Taylor Paige Rivera. He is also survived by his brother William and several nieces and nephews.

Rick's family will receive visitors and friends at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford on Tuesday, November 1st from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Rick's ashes will be laid to rest in the place that brought him most joy and where he had hoped to retire, Key West, Florida.
