Obituary: Robert Arnold Everett Jr., 69; Formerly Of Meriden
A U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War, Bob worked for Dichello Distributors for 25 years before retirement & was devoted to his family.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Robert Arnold Everett Jr., 69, of Wallingford, CT, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born to the late Robert and Lynette (Bailey) Everett on September 2, 1952.
Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen (Bianco) Everett. He was the proud father to his daughters, Alison (Peter) Ranciato and Jessica Everett, DVM both of Wallingford, CT. He was also a cherished “Ampa” to the two absolute joys of his life, his granddaughters, Ella and Sadie Ranciato.

Bob grew up in Meriden, CT, graduating from Maloney High School in 1970. He was then drafted and served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1972-1974. Bob specifically served in artillery and was based in Butzbach, Germany.
After discharge, he worked for Dichello Distributors for 25 years prior to his retirement.

You could find Bob working in his yard or playing a game of Texas Hold ‘Em. You always were met with a “hey pal” or “hey putzo”, followed by a wisecrack.
Bob was a huge UConn Women’s Basketball fan, never missing a game with his family. Above all, he was devoted to his family, and his last years were focused on his daughters and grandchildren who brought him immeasurable happiness.
In addition to his wife and daughters, Bob is survived by his siblings, Jeffrey (Lori) Everett, Dale Everett, Peggy Dummitt, Pattie Randlett, and Sherri Everett, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Everett and brother, Jerry Everett.
Bob’s family would like to thank his wonderful team of doctors and nurses at Yale: Dr. Hafez, Dr. Bramley, Dr. Morton, and Dr. Gettinger, and many others whose compassionate care made a world of difference.
