Obituary: Robert Lee Dargan Jr., 60, Of Meriden
A lifelong Meriden resident, he was a communications officer in the U.S. Air Force and worked at Allegheny Ludlum as a machinist.

MERIDEN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Robert Lee Dargan Jr., 60, of Meriden, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2023 in MidState Medical Center. He was born in Meriden April 4, 1962, a son of Ella Mae Robinson Dargan of Meriden and the late Robert L. Dargan Sr.
A lifelong Meriden resident, he was a communications officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1985-1995 and then was employed at Allegheny Ludlum as a machinist. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Beloved father of Robert “Bobby” Lee Dargan, III (Stacy), Aleah Dargan, and Alberto Morales (Shawna), all of Meriden. Brother of Elise Freeman (William) of Summerville, SC, Christopher Dargan (Pamela) of Meriden, Scott Dargan of Meriden,and Stacy Dargan of Meriden. Grandfather of Shawn, Xavier,Quincy, and Trayvon Dargan and Mason Morales. Robert was predeceased by his fiancee Debbie Kenney, his sister Roslyn Dargan, and brothers Lawrence and Ricky Dargan.

Friends are invited to visit with his family on Tuesday, April 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, and are also invited to attend an inurnment service with Military Honors on Wednesday, April 5 at 1 p.m. in the CT State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
