Obituary: Thomas R. Rychlec, 89, Of Meriden
Tom played for seven seasons in the NFL with the Lions, Bills & Broncos. He retired from the State of CT Dept. of Corrections after 20 years
MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Thomas R. Rychlec, 89, of Meriden, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Thomas was born in Meriden, September 11, 1934, the son of the late Thomas J. Rychlec and Anna (Lese) Rychlec.
Tom played in the NFL, beginning in 1958, for seven seasons with the Lions, Bills and Broncos, respectively & #39. He retired from the State of CT. Dept. of Corrections after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his two sons Steven Rychlec and Daniel Rychlec; his granddaughter Alana; the mother of his children, Holly (Bunnell) Rychlec; and several cousins.
