Obituary: Vera Bundock, 101, Of Meriden
She was a parishioner of St. Rose Church and taught CCD classes at St. Rose School for many years.

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Vera Bundock, 101, beloved wife of the late Henry J. Bundock Sr., passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2023 at MidState Medical Center.
Born on May 19th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rose (Gontek) Jastrzemski. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Vera attended St. Stanislaus School and graduated from Meriden High School, class of 1940. She was a parishioner of St. Rose Church and taught CCD classes at St. Rose School for many years.
Vera is survived by her son Henry Bundock Jr. and his wife Elizabeth; grandchildren Brian Bundock and Kimberly Ambrosio; and great grandsons Nicholas and Evan Ambrosio.

She is also survived by her son William J. Bundock and his wife Carol; grandchildren Renee and Larry; and great grandchildren Anthony and Dominic. She was predeceased by her four brothers; John, Frank, Stanley, and Walter Jastrzemski; and her four sisters; Ann, Ruth, Mary and Florence.
An avid UConn Men’s and Women’s basketball fan, Vera especially enjoyed the men’s five national championship seasons, as well as the women’s eleven national championship teams. At the conclusion of the basketball season, her sports interest turned to baseball and the New York Yankees.

A private funeral service was conducted, Friday, September 8th, at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., followed by her burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
