Obituary: Vincenzo ‘Vinny’ DiChello, 82, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Vincenzo “Vinny” DiChello, 82, formerly of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023 at HOCC in New Britain, CT. He was the husband of the late Concetta DiChello, deceased 2016.

Born in Gioia Sannitica, Italy on April 11th, 1941, he was the son of the late Maria Assunta and Fortunato Michele DiChello.

Vinny was a long-time resident of Meriden and Wallingford, CT and worked in the metal fabrication industry prior to retiring. He was known as the consummate joker and always had a funny story to tell. In the spring and summers, he and his wife would spend long days doing what they loved, gardening.

Vinny is survived by his children, Marie Block of Nevada, Michael DiChello and his wife Irene of Connecticut and Angelo DiChello of California, his 4 sisters Filomena, Angelina, Pasqualina and Elisa, and his grandchildren Julia DiChello and Christian DiChello both of Meriden.
